The CEL620 series sound level meters all include the data logging facility. Measurements can be recalled on the meter's screen or they can be presented on a computer. The storage in this meter is very flexible, allowing us to offer some free methods of downloading measurements, or for more demanding applications a piece of commercial software is available to give access to the full power of the meter.
The web based NoiseMeters Applications runs in your browser to generate reports from your CEL620 noise measurements.
There is no software to install on your computer. You just navigate to apps.noisemeters.com in a web browser to access all your measurements from anywhere in the world: home, work, on vacation?
Measurements are transferred from the meter by just connecting it to your USB port (no special drivers to install) and selecting the measurements that you want.
You can then create occupational noise reports, calculate a worker's TWA and check whether the hearing protection you have is adequate. All the reports can be saved for later use, printed or even downloaded to your computer for further analysis and reporting using Excel or a similar spreadsheet program.
For more information please visit apps.noisemeters.com.
When connected to the computer's USB port the meter acts like a memory stick, providing the measurements in standard CSV files that can be copied to your hard disk and loaded directly into Excel or similar application.
This demands a little knowledge of the computer and the ability to copy files to different locations, but for anybody wanting the measurements in a spreadsheet it is an excellent and low cost method.
The Insight software is an option that can be purchased with the meter or at a later date. A trial version can also be downloaded - this is a full featured version of the software but time limited to 30-days, after which time you need to buy a licence to continue using it.
This software downloads the measurements from the CEL620 series sound level meter, storing them on your computer. You can carry out analysis of the sound levels and produce a number of reports.
The Insight software also works with the CEL630 series sound level meters and the dBadge Noise Dosemeter.

The Type 2 Integrating Sound Level Meter can be bought on its own or as part of a measurement kit.
